- 01The goal of the formation is not only to compete, but above all to develop character, self-confidence, discipline, teamwork skills, and a professional stage presence. The formation provides experiences that will stay with the dancer for life—friendships, memories, stages, successes, and a sense of belonging to something special. The goal of the Paulina Turska Dance Academy Youth Latino Formation is not to participate in federated competitions in Poland. Our goal is to compete in international dance congresses, where salsa competitions are held, led by experienced artists, instructors, and judges who themselves dance, teach, and create the global Latin scene. We want our dancers to be as close as possible to the true culture of salsa: its music, rhythm, tradition, heart, and energy, not as close as possible to points tables or federation regulations. Our focus is events such as: • El Sol Salsa Festival, • International salsa congresses in Europe, • Competitions and showcases at prestigious Latin events,
- 02The formation gives dancers:• development of technique and body awareness faster than in regular classes,• a unique opportunity to participate in prestigious salsa congresses,• opportunity to work with coaches who have won world championships,• ability to work in a team and take responsibility for the project,• professional stage experience,• increased self-confidence, courage and discipline,• building a dance portfolio for your future career.
- 03• All artistic, training and formation decisions are made by the coaches.• Parents do not interfere with choreography, composition, positions or decisions regarding stage seating.• All questions are directed directly to the trainers – never through children.• Coaching decisions are final and result from many years of experience in leading groups to the championship level.
- 04• All movements, technical and choreographic elements must be performed safely.• Dancers are obligated to report any injury or discomfort.• The trainer may withdraw the dancer from a specific element or class for health reasons.• The Academy is not responsible for injuries resulting from failure to follow instructions or lack of warm-up.
- 05• It is prohibited to publish recordings of rehearsals, setups and learning choreography without the consent of the coaches.• Recordings are for educational purposes only.• It is prohibited to transfer the choreography to third parties.• Stage recordings may only be published after approval by coaches.
- 06• The players represent the Academy at the highest level – both at school and on social media, as well as during trips.• Behavior that damages the image of the Academy may result in suspension.• Each member of the formation undertakes to adhere to the work ethos: professionalism, respect and personal culture.
- 07The formations work in a permanent, closed composition.Joining is possible after a minimum of two months of regular classes, and in practice the best results are achieved by people who go through the entire preparation season. When choosing, we are guided solely by what is the foundation of every professional group: • consistency and systematic work• mature, stable posture• culture of cooperation and discipline• respect for the process, instructor and team• consistency with the dynamics of the existing formationWe do not revert material or modify routines for new people. The candidate falls into the rhythm of the team – never the other way around. The formations are made up of people who not only dance, but above all represent the quality, character and work ethos of Turska Dance Academy.
